Poet Perspective
"If you believe in the divinity of Christ, you have to cherish the world at the same time you struggle to endure it." - Flannery O'Connor
Sometimes that's difficult for me.
The 'world' that I yearn for is simple and quiet, but the 'world' that I live in is a tangled web of complexities, tasks, desires and obligations. There is a great difficulty in this environment to even muster the concentration to isolate and eradicate these noises, absent the very quiet that they destroy.
Some days seem much more struggle than cherish. Thanks You, Lord, for the grace to endure and the capacity to cherish.
Believing,
Harry
